As any experienced home buyer will tell you, so many different factors go into what makes a certain location ideal. Where you work, the neighborhood vibe, where kids go to school, and how good the schools are in a particular town or suburb are all important elements many prospective home buyers have to weigh before ultimately deciding which place is right for them. Here in Bergen County, where so many residents commute to New York City everyday, how easy it is to get to work can also play a pivotal role in choosing the best fit for your unqiue home buying situation. And if taking the train to and from work is your preferred method of transportation, these Begen County towns all have NJ Transit train stations to help make your commute as convenient as possible.
Rutherford
The Rutherford NJ Transit station is served by the Bergen County Line and sits right near where Erie Avenue, Park Avenue, and Orient Way come together. Because of its downtown location, there isn’t a lot of parking available. However it’s also considered to be one of the cleanest, most well-maintained commuter stations in Bergen County because of its prime location right in the center town.
Montvale, NJ
The Montvale NJ Transit station is located at Railroad and Grand Avenues in downtown Montvale. Permit parking is available at the station, which is part of New Jersey Transit’s Pascack Valley Line. Montvale is the first/last stop in New Jersey along this commuter route, and passengers will find one low-level side platform and a small high-level platform that serves handicapped customers at the station.
